Regional Coordinator

Regional coordinators are appointed by Phi Theta Kappa International Executive Director Rod A. Risley to oversee regional business, including working with International Headquarters, planning regional events, communicating with chapter advisors, overseeing the regional budget, organizing the Regional Advisory Board, and advising the regional officers.

New England’s regional coordinator is Michelle R. Brinck. She was appointed Interim Regional Coordinator in July 2006 and made a full coordinator in 2007. Brinck has an outstanding record of service with Phi Theta Kappa and the New England Region, starting with her induction into the Alpha Iota Nu chapter at Norwalk Community College in fall 1999. She served as chapter secretary the following semester and later as former Division I International Vice President Ari Disraelly’s campaign manager, leading him to a successful election. She was president of Alpha Iota Nu for the 2000 - 2001 year.

After her May 2001 graduation, Brinck became an NCC employee, working in the Office of Financial Aid. This gave her an opportunity to continue assisting the chapter with its activities, including organizing a successful AIDS Awareness Day conference. This continued involvement and commitment to both the chapter and Phi Theta Kappa as a whole led to her being named co-advisor of Alpha Iota Nu in May 2002.

In addition to being a chapter advisor and charter member of the New England Regional Alumni Association, Brinck is the Director of Student Activities at NCC, a position she has held for more than three years. Throughout all of this, she has managed to attend almost every regional and international conference for the past seven years.

If members, officers, or advisors would like to contact Brinck, you can do so by calling (203) 857-7132 or e-mailing mbrinck@ncc.commnet.edu.
