Applicants for the Rhode Island Commission on Women’s 2009 Freda H. Goldman Education Award must have their applications submitted by June 12. The Goldman Award is for highly motivated, self-supporting, low-income Rhode Island women completing first undergraduate degree or certificate program. The fund can be used assist with transportation, child-care, tutoring, educational materials, and/or other support services. Awards are given in amounts of $500 – $1,000.
