Running for Regional Office
Elections for regional officers are held at the regional convention in March of each year, with remaining vacant offices filled at the International Convention Regional Meeting in April.
Active chapter members who are interested in running for a regional office – President, Northern Vice President, Central Vice President, Southern Vice President, or Officer-at-Large – are encouraged to begin their planning early in order to ensure a smooth election process. Candidates are strongly advised to contact the regional president, coordinator, and/or NERA president for advice early on. The officer(s) currently holding the position of interest can also be valuable resources.
